This great ladle will not sink into you soup, stopping you from getting in a mess. And Seongyong Lee's floating cutlery means that you do not risk cutting yourself when fishing around in the washing up bowl.

Kitchen Shelves

I love open shelves in a kitchen. They are great to show off good looking cookware and personalise your space.

This great kitchen is owned by Virginia Armstrong and was recently featured in Living etc magazine.
The green behind the shelves could be anything to add colour or texture to the blank canvas of the white kitchen units. It could be paint, wall paper, glass or wood.

National Pie Day

I can't believe I missed national pie day!

Kitchen Robot

The kitchen robot, called B21, keeps track of the contents of your kitchen and can learn simple tasks, and could soon be making your dinner while you relax.

Developed at the Technical University of Munichcan the robot can operate in a real kitchen that has been set up with radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags. As a result, the robot knows where everything is, and it can learn simple tasks simply by observing the movements of the
objects.

The team is also working to integrate a number of open-source software packages to enable the robots to get instructions from the internet. Robots would search how-to websites like
eHow, converting natural language into robot-friendly instructions.

It is a great alternative to radiators where wall space is at a premium and is acclaimed by treehugger.com for reducing energy consumption by up to 12% compared to traditional radiators.

The internal elements of the Mini Canal have been made "invisible", using lacquered dark grey components. The only eyecatching element left, is the grille-cover which can be perfectly tailored to match the floor.
